All of the participating artists in this exhibition are dedicated, full-time adjunct faculty members of the College of Charleston’s Department of Studio Art. The Halsey Institute has hosted a number of past exhibitions that showcase the work of studio art faculty.
Erik Johnson has worked at the College for four years as sculpture instructor and studio manager. His preferred sculptural medium is cast iron, and he shares his passion for iron with students in the annual Cougar Iron Pour. He also takes iron on the road for public workshops and community projects at locations such as Redux Contemporary Art Center, Sumter High School, and the River Oaks Art Center of Alexandria, La.
