End of Year Giving

Thursday, December 1, 2022

Double your impact and support contemporary art in Charleston through a gift to the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art!

Up to $7,500 will be matched dollar-by-dollar by two generous donors when you donate, renew your membership, or become a new Member during our end of year giving campaign. Help us reach our $15,000 goal today!

Your financial support helps us serve the community by bringing world-class exhibitions and innovative programs for all ages. With your help, we can do MORE for our community. Your donation to our end of year giving campaign helps keep admission free and provides crucial support for our exhibitionseducational offerings, and community programming. All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. You will receive a letter dated for 2022 from the Halsey Institute thanking you for your gift.

DONATE HERE between December 1 and December 31 to not only support the Halsey Institute’s mission, but also participate in our fun raffles!

Raffle for December 1 – 15: Tickets for Meet the Maker + IPS

Donate at least $15, join as a member at any level*, or renew your membership during these dates to be entered into a raffle to win two tickets to our next Meet the Maker event with fall 2023 artist La Vaughn Belle and two tickets to a CofC International Piano Series performance by Awadagin Pratt. The Meet the Maker series is one of our most popular membership benefits that begins at the Postmodernist level ($350). Meet the Makers are quarterly get-togethers for members to meet an artist or maker and learn about their creative process within an intimate setting. The Maker is often an upcoming or past exhibiting artist at the Halsey Institute. They will give a presentation describing their inspiration, passions, process, and, ultimately, final result. The International Piano Series (IPS) is Charleston’s longest running, year-round program with a pure focus on piano. IPS plays a distinctive role in the lives of students and the community by implementing excellence in the arts and education and cultivating piano music appreciation. One name will be drawn from all eligible entries.

Raffle for December 16 – 31: Private Exhibition Tour + a Gift Box from Local Love Charleston

Donate at least $15, join as a member at any level*, or renew your membership during these dates to be entered into a raffle to win a private tour for you and three of your friends with our director and chief curator, Katie Hirsch, of our upcoming winter 2023 exhibitions Elizabeth Bick: Contrapposto and Jovencio de la Paz: The Ends of Rainbows. You’ll also win a gift box from Local Love Charleston featuring locally made, sustainable products from Charleston artisans! One name will be drawn from all eligible entries.
