Kirsten Stolle | Lesson Plans for K-12 students

Mon Sep 19, 2022

We are excited to share some lesson plans created by artist and educator Katie Brash designed to be used with the current Kirsten Stolle: Only You Can Prevent A Forest exhibition.

Katie is a 3rd grade math teacher in Charleston County School District system. She graduated from Allegheny College in 2017 with a B.S. in Global Health and Studio Art, and recently earned her Masters Degree in Teaching from College of Charleston in Spring 2022. The Halsey Institute staff are grateful to Katie for developing these lesson plans that create an avenue for her fellow K-12 educators to engage with our exhibition from and interdisciplinary perspective!

Lesson plans encompass 5th grade ELA and Earth Science, 8th grade Science, and 10th grade History or Civics. Click here to check out Katie’s lesson plans!
