Artist Lecture, Mountain and Watercolor: Riccarda de Eccher

Tuesday, March 1, 2016
Auditorium, School of Sciences and Mathematics, 202 Calhoun St.

Riccarda de Eccher was born in Bolzano, Italy, and began painting, mostly in large format watercolor, late in life. Her subject, her passion, is the Dolomites mountains of Northern Italy. In addition to painting and drawing them, she has climbed and hiked them.

The artist has published several small books in collaboration with various writers. Her obsession with the Dolomites is evident in that each painting is a tender portrait. She currently lives on Long Island.
